This is the Big Society pub.
2008 - 2012
For a couple of years from about 2008 - 2012, it was 'Lan Kwai Kong', a Chinese restaurant, with Chinese karaoke in the back room.
1980s - 2000s
This was the 'Elm Tree' pub during the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.
Joe Ryan, an Oxford landlord well known for encouraging Irish folk music, ran this pub in the 1990s after moving from the Bullingdon (No 162) and before moving to the Half Moon in St Clements
