For years this was the independently owned La Croissanterie French takeaway, serving baguettes and snacks, listed here in Thomsons Diectory 1998. In 2016 the business closed. With a sharp rise in rough sleeping that year, the recessed doorway was quickly occupied by night sleepers. By the end of the year the shopfront had been boarded up.
