Kelly's Directories of 1976 and of 1932 both list number 1 as the Britannic Assurance Co. Ltd. Also Thomson's Directory 1995 ~~bet~~ by 1998 they had moved. The 1932 edition lists the general manager as A.E.Folkes. There was an Arthur Edward Folkes listed as residing at 219 Cowley Road in the same edition of Kelly's<ref>Kelly's Directory of Oxford, 1932</ref>.
