This is the Tick Tock cafe, serving traditional full English breakfasts and sandwiches.
== 1980s and 1990s ==
It was 'Sweet Charity', a charity clothes shop, during the 1980s and 1990s. A photo of the interior from April 1994 is in Marilyn Yurdan's "The Changing Faces of the Cowley Road"
== 1932 1975-1991 == An image from 1975 can be [https://www.oxforduniversityimages.com/results.asp?image=OHC002713- 01&itemw=4&itemf=0001&itemstep=1&itemx=3 seen here]<br/> It shows Harry Slater's fishmongers at No 3 and at No 5 the signboard read simply "5 Cowley Road". In Kelly's Directory 1976 No 5 was listed as J McCann secondhand goods dealer and a sign visible in the photo says "Anything Bought". A photo of April 1991 in Marilyn Yurdan's "The Changing Faces of the Cowley Road" shows the Harry Slater sign still there (though the shutters are down), and the "5 Cowley Road" sign is partly fallen down, though clothes are still hung up for sale. == 1932 ==
Kelly's Directory of 1932 and the 1976 directory both list number 3 as Harry Slater fishmonger (I believe this was the last fishmonger in Oxford outside the Covered Market).

Kelly's Directory 1976 No 5 J McCann second hand goods dealer (this became Sweet Charity).
Kelly's Directory of 1932 lists number 5 as being the premises of Mrs Mary Davidson, milliner.
