2017

The Bitten Oxford food blog reported on 20th October 2016: We’ve known for a while that Ru Thurston from Oli’s Thai was partnering with Ben Whyles from Door 74 to reopen Door 74 as a new collaborative project.... The new restaurant, Arbequina, opened the following day.

During the refit in preparation for opening, an intriguing ?early 20th century sign for 'R.A. Neville: Dispensing Chemist' was revealed and remains visible, with the current business name printed modestly on the window glass.

2016

The Door 74 restaurant occupied this building for at least a decade before closing in 2016.

1961

The British Motor Industry Heritage trust holds a photo in their archive of this shop in 1961, with the name ?'Fred Dancey'. Posters in the window appear to show bicycles. Sadly the image is under copyright and cannot be reproduced here.
