This is a branch of Tesco supermarket. It was closed for a couple of years while new flats were built above it. Re-opened in 2022 and the frontage at the right-hand end is aparto Spireworks who manage the flats

Note photos (right) taken by Paul Freestone in 1978, which show demolition of the left part of what is now Tesco's - apparently this is where Butlers grocers were before Tesco expansion. The front door of Tesco's was then moved Westwards into this space.
