February 2017: The empty shop unit advertised for rent by Chancellors estate agents.

April 2019

Club Terruno is a cocktail bar owned by the same folks as Arbequina next door. Unlike it's neighbour the "Ravenscroft & Fraser" signboard is not original and was created for the restaurant by Ash from Brilliant Signs, according to an article in the Oxford Mail

2017

The 'Strand' beauty parlour has just closed and the shop stands empty. There has been a hair salon/ beauty parlour here for several years in various incarnations. Runaya is still readable on the signboard

In 1961 this shop was a 'Rentaset' radio and TV rental shop.

The British Motor Industry Heritage trust holds a photo in their archive TV sets being unloaded from the shop into one of the characteristic Rentaset vans. Sadly the image is under copyright and cannot be reproduced here.
