Please include the street number, and the date if possible, in the image filename. For example, to upload an image of the Excelsior cafe in 1972 you would type:
<code><nowiki>[[File:250-1972.png|frame| 1972: The Excelsior cafe in its heyday]]</nowiki></code>
Then click 'Save Page'. In the normal page view you will then see your image name as a link. Click on this and it will take you to a form where you can upload your image. Once uploaded, when you navigate back to the page you should see your image with a caption underneath.
